Hi there!

Welcome to Peter Corey's very own website. There's lots of great stuff here, including details of his books, school visits and even an interactive adventure to get involved with. But first - some stuff about the great man himself (well, his Mum loves him, anyway!)

After carrying a jam jar full of myrrh in the school nativity play, PETER COREY decided to become an actor. His TV acting credits include: two years in Brookside, six months in EastEnders, being the original next door neighbour in One Foot In The Grave, getting arrested in London's Burning and dying in Hornblower. He's also been in Harry's Mad, Sooty Heights, The Bill and No Sweat, plus many others. He's worked with such greats as Frank Skinner, Steve Cougan, Jack Dee and Richard Blackwood.
He started writing 30 years ago and has since written over 40 stage plays, 15 books and 250 hours of television. Stage credits include an adaptation on Spike Milligan's Badjelly the Witch. His TV writing credits include Bob the Builder, Rainbow, Sooty, Saturday Superstore, The Big Spot, The DJ Kat Show, Number 73, Your Mother Wouldn't Like It, and Palace Hill. This last programme was the reason he started writing books, and his first book was called "Palace Hill the book", not surprisingly.
His highly successful "Coping With … " series has also spawned eight TV programmes, which have won him lots of awards, including four BAFTA masks and a thing that looks like a plastic football.
He has a wife who is teacher and five children who aren't. He's also a member of the Magic circle.
